Herbarium of Takayama Field Station, established in 1966, mainly stores plant specimens collected in the Hida region (northern part of Gifu Prefecture), in Japan.
<高山試験地の標本庫には，主に飛騨地方で採集された植物の押し葉標本が収められています（一部，美濃地方，秋田県，岩手県などの標本が含まれます）．試験地スタッフと津田研究室メンバーが，研究の合間に管理作業をおこなっています>
The collection time of specimens is concentrated in three ages. That is, 1920s-1930s, 1960s-1970s, and after 2000. The specimens in our herbarium contain valuable materials for examining flora or vegetation of Hida region (Norther part of Gifu Prefecture). The specimens from the 1920s are known to have been collected by Chiyozo Iguchi from the label, but it is no longer clear who this person is and why the samples are stored at this herbarium.
<収蔵標本の採集時期は３つの年代に集中しています．すなわち1920年〜1930年代，1960年〜1970年代，そして2000年以降です．収蔵点数は博物館等の立派なハーバリウムには遠く及びませんが，当標本庫の標本には，飛騨のフロラや植生を調べる上で貴重な資料が含まれていると思います．1920年代の標本はラベルから井口千代蔵氏が収集したものとわかっていますが，この人物が誰なのか，どうしてこのセンターに標本が収蔵されているのかは，もはやまったくわからなくなっています>

Plant species list (preliminary version) of collected specimens has been published. Currently, only the list of species names is arranged according to the New Engler's system. Our herbarium is currently working on rearranging plant specimens into the APG system.

標本庫のデータにもとづいて，地域別の植物リスト（一部）を公開しています．
津田が植物標本の存在を知ったのは2001年でした．その時点では，2500点あまりの植物標本がぎっしり詰まった3本の木製保管庫が暗い廊下に放置してある状況だったので，標本が収められていることにまったく気づかなかったのです．試験地スタッフが保管庫の中の防虫剤を定期的に交換していたので標本の多くは比較的良好な状況にありましたが，ほとんどの標本が画用紙にセロテープで貼り付けてあり，すでにテープには粘着力が無くなっていました．画用紙と植物は分離した状態だったため，植物標本専用の台紙にラミントンテープを用いて貼り直し，ラベルもきちんと付けてパソコンにデータを入力しています．2005年には狭いながらも快適な標本室を作ってもらったので，標本だけでなく作業場所も廊下から室内に移動しました．保管庫も高山の家具店にオーダーメードして毎年少しずつ増やしていき，現在は古くからあったものも含めて9本の保管庫が並んでいます．
